Foreign rights

Fandango Libri is a brand of the independent publishing group Fandango, which also includes Coconino Press, Becco giallo and Playground. Fandango Libri was founded in 1999 by Domenico Procacci and is linked to the homonymous film production company that produced Gomorra, Reality and L’imbalsamatore (aka The Embalmer) by Matteo Garrone, the films of Nanni Moretti and the TV series from My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante.

Fandango Libri publishes Italian and translated fiction and non-fiction, was the first foreign publisher to translate Infinite Jest by David Forster Wallace and had, among others, published John Cheever‘s oeuvre.

Among the authors there are Harold Brodkey, Mariella Mehr, James Baldwin, Eleanor Catton, Nawal el Saadawi and Philippe Forest, Lydia Cacho, Horacio Verbitsky, Paul B. Preciado, Pinar Selek, and Garry Kasparov.

Among our Italian authors more recent publications include: the début of Jonathan Bazzi winner of the Book of the year for Fahrenheit – Radio3 2019, Giulio Cavalli Carnaio winner of the critic award of Segafredo Zanetti Un libro un film prize and shortlisted for Campiello prize, the narrative début of Davide Carnevali, worldwide renown playwright, Leonardo Palmisano winner of the Prize Colombe d’oro per la pace for his reportage and author of the noir series Mazzacani.
